I recently had the pleasure of photographing an elopement on Mount Rainier in Seattle, and every image from that day feels incredibly special to me. There were so many meaningful moments and thoughtful details that I decided to break this wedding into separate blog posts. I want each part of the day to have space to be appreciated, especially the smaller details that can sometimes get lost in a full wedding gallery.

The bride and groom chose a stunning mid-century Airbnb to stay in during their time in Seattle. They were very intentional about selecting this space, and once I stepped inside, I completely understood why. The architecture, textures, and natural tones created such a beautiful and calm atmosphere. What stood out to me the most was how the natural light filled the home. The way the light filtered through the windows created the perfect environment for capturing wedding details in a soft and timeless way.

For these detail photos, I focused on documenting the bride’s dress, heels, rings, and earrings. These are often some of the most sentimental pieces of a wedding day. They tell a story about personal style, preparation, and anticipation for the ceremony ahead. I love slowing down during this part of the day and carefully styling each element in a way that feels natural to the space.

The Gear I Used
All of these images were captured using my Fuji X-T30 paired with the Viltrox 25mm f1.7 lens for Fuji X-mount. This lens continues to surprise me with how versatile it is. Being able to photograph wide environmental shots of the dress within the Airbnb, while also capturing tighter detail shots of rings and jewelry, made this lens the perfect choice for the setting.
The wide aperture allowed me to create soft background separation while still keeping important details sharp. I also love how lightweight this setup is, especially during weddings where I am constantly moving between moments and locations. Having gear that performs well without slowing me down is incredibly important to my workflow.
This small collection of images is a reminder that wedding photography is not only about the big moments, but also about the thoughtful details that make each wedding unique.
